Description
I'm proud of my cosy, spacious and light home. I take care of it and enjoy having people here. The room is a smaller double, with a bedframe and good-quality mattress, a table, chair, mirror and wardrobe. It’s just been repainted in readiness for a new person. There is room for a small bookcase or similar which you could get for yourself if you'd like. The room's window looks out onto the back garden - the first thing you see is a rose bush!
The rest of the ground-floor flat comprises a well-decorated living room, kitchen and bathroom, with a little room for storage - and, of course, my own bedroom. It is all maintained well.
I am looking for a responsible adult to live here. I have had lots of lovely lodgers and enjoy making my place available to people; my last long-term housemate stayed for three years. Some of my past housemates have become my dearest friends, though that's not necessary to be excellent sharers, I'd say.
I live with a lovely dog called Charlie. He's a thirteen year old rescue Patterdale and is quite slow but still very characterful. He loves people and often wants to snuggle, so whoever lives here should feel excited about living with a dog. If we all get on, I’d be open to discussing a rent reduction in return for some dogcare.
I am a choreographer and academic. I have a busy work and social life; I work from home three days a week and am often busy in the evenings when I’m not chilling with Charlie. When I am here I like to make the most of the comfy sofa, the generous bath, and the well-equipped kitchen. I like living convivially. I have worked away a lot and been a lodger - I hope to be as good a landlady and housemate as mine have been!
The room is available from 15 December, but I will hold out for a good match.
I’m not interested in hearing from Tories, TERFs, racists or misogynists; life is too short to have that in my home.
Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
