Room in friendly house-please read description 💕

All bills included room available with flexible August/September move in date for an older student (PhD student, post doc, researcher, lecturer), and/or someone receiving universal credit, and/or who is low income, and/or is an asylum seeker. Viewings to begin last week of July. You’d be living with myself (29, self employed) and my partner (owns the house, medical student who will be living only half the time in Newcastle as he’ll be working in a hospital in Stockton). As my partner came to own the house by luck, and I’m no stranger to housing insecurity myself, we’re offering a room to someone who might otherwise be priced out of safe, affordable, and well-maintained housing. And, I’m a PhD programme drop out so have a soft spot for people struggling through that experience. The house is located in a really convenient spot close to Byker and Chillingham road stations. The house is a bit of a blank slate at the moment so anyone moving in is free to make the room and house homely as you’d like! Amenities include a kitchen with a dishwasher, two full bathrooms, a garden with a tiny pond. I cook a lot of Chinese food so must be okay with a kitchen that often smells quite strongly. Partner is vegan though so would prefer to have a roommate who isn’t cooking meat in the house much or at all.
