Double rooms in beautiful Georgian house

Hello, I have one double room to rent in a large Georgian/Victorian house in Hebburn, overlooking the park. The house is on a very quiet street, with a beautiful park to the front, with large open spaces, tennis courts and a lawn bowls green. There is plenty of parking available on the street and it is very safe and quiet.

The house is 30 seconds from the park, 5 minutes from the high street, with a supermarket, shops, a pharmacy, doctors and dentists. The Metro is a 10 minute walk away, running multiple services each hour with a journey times of 20 minutes into central Newcastle and 10 minutes to the beach at South Shields.

It is my own house, and I will be living there too, though I’m super easy going and very eager for any new lodger to feel at home and free to be themselves. I am friendly, liberal and very down to earth and relaxed. I work full time in procurement so will be out of the house most weekdays.


There is also another lodger in another room, she is very friendly and warm. She works shifts as a vet and has two cats who live in the house with us. Therefore, you would need to be comfortable living with two very friendly cats, though the cleaning and other tasks associated with them would be her responsibility.
The house is large, with four bedrooms, a large family bathroom, separate toilet, large kitchen, dining room and living room. Apart from the bedroom, which is yours, all other rooms are free for use by everyone. There is fast internet, a washing machine, two fridges, a tumble dryer, and an abundance of cooking tools and gadgets all included for everyone’s use. The house is beautifully decorated throughout, with new carpets, flooring, fixtures and fittings. The room on offer is a very large double with double bed, wardrobes, drawers, bedside table, and some space to do work. A new television can also be provided in the bedroom should it be needed, but there is one in the living room with access to various streaming services such as Netflix and Apple TV.

All bills are included, as well as essentials such as toilet roll, cleaning materials, milk, tea bags. Essentially you will be responsible for your own food, but if you need ketchup or milk for a hot drink there will always be some available for reasonable use. At present I don’t have a cleaner but intend on getting one for two hours per week to clean the shared areas.

The room will be available from 19/03/2025. The preference would be for students, mature students or professionals of any sort. I think it would be a great environment for study, or those on work placement or from another country as part of their studies or professional development.
