Comfortable bed in a lovely modern house which is up for sale so must be okay with room being viewed - could take year plus to sell though as plenty of competition..
2018 built eco house on upmarket development surrounded by country walks and easy access to A roads. Postcode is DH4 6GP and suits those with own transport best. Plenty bay and street parking.
Looking for the loveliest and most considerate of housemates. If you automatically take shoes off in the house and don’t appreciate others leaving crumbs after themselves on counters and sofa, then we will get on.
- NOT AVAILABLE One medium size room with double bed on the top floor (2nd) with wardrobe plus drawers, chair and a writing desk. Lovely super high ceiling makes it feel very spacious and is the warmest floor in the house. Wardrobe ireplaces rail in photos but is probably not suitable for a woman size hoard of clothes without getting additional storage..
- ****AVAILABLE**** One very large double bedded room with Scottish theme on middle (1st) floor with chair/desk and has a huge wardrobe.
- NOT AVAILABLE one very pleasant room with single bed, drawers and small clothes rail. Not suitable for someone who needs a lot of storage.
- These share a bathroom with bath/shower on 1st floor plus is additional WC downstairs. Use of kitchen/diner, wc, middle floor bathroom and garden. It’s a lovely quiet area and our neighbours are quiet too. Is not a party house. Occasional guests you have known for years are okay.
I live on top floor and have own bathroom. I am friendly and happy to watch TV together or chat. The lovely living room is only occasionally available to use - this is because I do reiki treatments there and in winter is hard to heat as has so luch glass is practically a conservatory :;-).. Rest of house is toasty warm..
Available to either single male or female over 28. No couples, no smoking but pets considered if not dogs.
Shorter stays less than 4 weeks may cost more. On airbnb you can read my excellent reviews as a host. Ask me for link.
Next to country walks including the lovely Lambton Castle Estate. Is on the pretty Elba Park new development (easy drive to Durham or Sunderland or Newcastle). We are end of terrace by a big green.
A lovely spacious four bedroom new build house with tall ceilings and mod cons from soft close toilet seats to skylights over dining area. Big fridge freezer. Dishwasher.
Please check transport links first (DH4 6GP) if you don’t have a car and if you do is a very handy location. Bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. Lots of parking here. Great access via A roads to all the major towns around.
A bit of space in the garage is available too if you have a bicycle etc
Who we are - A quiet tidy considerate good-humoured household (working from home mostly) into the arts generally and walking in nature - a would be writer and English/Polish/Spanish mix and LGBTQ friendly too. My boyfriend, a cardiologist, stays too at weekends occasionally.
Lodger must be clean, tidy, super considerate and quiet with a friendly vibe. The sort of person who does not take hours cooking, takes the rubbish out when is full, empties the dishwasher, does not leave the bathroom floor wet, cleans kitchen surfaces after themselves and uses the hoover when needed..
There is speedy wifi included as well as all utility bills if kept at a reasonable amount - we share the cleaning cost. I only watch Netflix so I don’t have a TV licence. Cleaners come weekly for quick clean of bathrooms and communal areas but we clean n tidy after ourselves in communal areas as we go so always nice for the other person. Also hoover n dust own rooms or communal areas when needed between cleaners. It is the opposite of a ‘student house’.
Working professionals or Postgrad students welcome or students that are too wonderful for typical student share but must be over 28 and well trained.
