Fun friendly household that is also clean, tidy and quiet. Comfortable bed and view over houses to a wood.
2018 built eco house on upmarket development surrounded by country walks and easy access to A roads. Postcode is DH4 6GP and suits those with own transport best. Plenty bay and street parking.
Looking for the loveliest and most considerate of housemates. If you automatically take shoes off in the house and don’t appreciate others leaving crumbs after themselves on counters and sofa, then we will get on.
Both rooms can be rented long term by one single person with a discount in case you want to use one as an office/storage or share with less people.
- AVAILABLE One single bedded room on 1st floor with two clothes rails plus drawers and room for small table/desk.
- AVAILABLE One large double bedded room on 1st floor with desk and huge wardrobe.
- Both share a bathroom with bath/shower plus is additional WC downstairs., Use of kitchen lounge/diner/garden. It’s a lovely quiet area and our neighbours are quiet too. Is not a party house. Occasional guests you have known a long while are okay.
I live on top floor and have own bathroom.. I am friendly and happy to watch TV together or chat.
No couples, no smoking and no pets. House comes with one friendly well behaved fluffy cat who is type that very rarely triggers allergy.. Those normally sensitive to cats have been fine with her which is good as she loves to sleep on laps and when someones pulls her toy for her. She will likely greet you at front door for a cuddle.
Shorter stays less than 4 weeks will cost more. On airbnb you can read my excellent reviews as a host. Ask me for link.
Next to country walks including the lovely Lambton Castle Estate. Is on the pretty Elba Park new development (easy drive to Durham or Sunderland or Newcastle). We are end of terrace by a big green.
A lovely spacious four bedroom new build house with tall ceilings and mod cons from soft close toilet seats to skylights over dining area. Big fridge freezer. Dishwasher.
Please check transport links first (DH4 6GP) if you don’t have a car and if you do is a very handy location. Bus stop is a 10 minute walk away.
A bit of space in the garage is available too if you have a bicycle etc
Who we are - A quiet tidy considerate good-humoured household (working from home mostly) into the arts generally - a would be writer and English/Polish/Spanish mix and LGBTQ friendly too. My boyfriend, a cardiologist stays too at weekends occasionally.
Lodger must be clean, tidy, super considerate and quiet with a friendly vibe. The sort of person who takes the rubbish out when is full, empties the dishwasher and does not leave the bathroom floor wet.
There is speedy wifi included as well as all utility bills - we share the cleaning cost and council tax which I pay 75% of (if you are registered elsewhere and only Mon to Fri then no council tax contribution). I only watch Netflix so I don’t have a TV licence. Cleaners come fortnightly but we clean n tidy after ourselves in communal areas as we go so always nice for the other person.
Working professionals or Postgrad students welcome or students that are too wonderful for typical student share but must be over 28 and well trained.
