Description
Hi, we're three professional women living together in a 4-bedroom house in Jesmond. One of our housemates is relocating so we're looking for someone to take over their tenancy.
About the room/house:
The 4th room is a bit smaller than the others, and the window looks out across the back road, so we would split the rent £500-£567-£567-£567 internally going forwards, but the security deposit to the landlord would need to be 550.
Bills and wifi would be on top of the £500.
The room faces west so gets a lot of sunlight around sunset. Its dimensions are about 2.9m x 3.3m and comes with all the furniture you can see in the pictures - the bed is a double bed but unfortunately no couples as that would violate our tenancy agreement.
Our house is in council tax band D. We have a small garden out front, a living room with big stained glass windows and a TV, a dining room, a kitchen (with three fridges, a dishwasher, and washing machine), and one shared bathroom. We're about a 5 min walk from the Jesmond main street and 15 mins from West Jesmond metro station, and very close to Jesmond Dene.
Street parking would not be available unless you could get the council to approve a third resident's parking permit at this address.
About us:
The three of us are all 23 and friends from university, and working in Newcastle/the surrounding area. Our interests range from board games to baking to arts & crafts. We lead fairly busy lifestyles and two of us are more on the homebody side, but usually go for for a pub trip/evening out every month or so, and will sometimes watch TV together in the living room after dinner.
None of us smoke or drink heavily and we have no pets. The walls in the house are very thick so noise is also quite minimal.
By default we share most cooking sauces/spices/condiments, laundry pods, pots and pans, cutlery, crockery etc. and around every week we put in a grocery shop through the ASDA app (and then Splitwise the costs). We'd be happy for you to either join in or keep your own personal supplies, however there isn't too much space in the kitchen for any more pots and pans.
About you? :
Ideally our 4th housemate would be a woman around the same age as us and also a young professional or postgraduate student.
We're open to pets but you would have to work it out with the landlord.
Bonus points if you have an interest in Dungeons & Dragons and/or ice hockey. :)
