Large (14' x 8') bright airy single room in a clean house in Killingworth, with wardrobe, drawers, desk, tv, garden views. Got a lot of stuff? No problem, as there's extra storage space in loft and garage (though not enough room in the garage for a car, sorry).

Where are we?
Killingworth/Forest Hall borders
- less than three miles to Longbenton's Government offices at Benton Park View (and there's a bus from the end of the road that takes you straight to the gate)
- about three miles to the Freeman hospital
- Just round the corner from Balliol and Quorum business parks
- handy for the A19
- easy journeys to Cobalt, Silverlink, Whitley Bay, Cramlington
- excellent public transport to the centre of Newcastle.
- if you need to drive to the airport, we're near a network of small roads which means you don't have to use the A1 at rush hour if you don't want to.

What you get:

- Own toilet (but not fully en suite, shared bathroom)
- Unlimited use of the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, garden)

- BT Vision and Netflix in the living room
- Your own cupboard in kitchen, own shelf in the fridge and own drawers in the freezer.
- Use of the kitchen on demand, whenever you want
- ...and obviously, use of all crockery saucepans etc
- if you need extra storage there's space in the loft and the garage
- Use of all the usual facilities, such as washing machine, ironing board, etc
- Towels and bedlinen provided, and changed weekly
- Brand new pillows (you don't want to sleep on someone else's pillows. Eww.)
- Parking space either on the drive, or outside the house in a quiet suburban street that's packed with pensioners (the best kind of neighbourhood watch!)

- Peace and quiet when you want it - you don't have to talk to us, but on the other hand if you're feeling sociable, we'd love to chat.

What you provide:
Rent: £400 per calendar month
Rent includes all bills (not phone) and basic cleaning, and we provide the bed linen and towels and we change it weekly.
For Monday to Friday lets: you don't have to clear all your stuff out over the weekend, you can leave stuff here, it will be safe and secure.

Who else is there?
The household consists of landlady plus another lodger (male). We're a quiet household but we don't mind a bit of noise.
Pets: two cats (not allowed in bedrooms).

If you have a pet you'd like to have with you, then as long as they will get on with the two existing cats in the house then that's fine. Cats, hamsters, reptiles, fish, all ok. But sadly my cats aren't very good with dogs so even a well behaved dog would cause too much disruption, so no dogs, sorry.

Living here:
In an excellent location, within easy reach of the city and very well served for shops/superstores/takeaways/ amenities - there's a leisure centre with gym/swimming pool is just 5 minutes away - but we're also on the edge of countryside, and six easy miles from the seaside. Friendly local pubs within a short stroll. Asda, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, and a Sainsbury's Extra, all within a mile.

It's a non smoking house, but happy to let you smoke as long as you open the window. (Note for non smokers - although we allow smoking, there haven't been any smokers in that room for over four years, so there's no residual smokey smell from previous lodgers)
