Double room to rent

Final year biology PhD student looking for a new housemate.

The room on offer is the top floor in a three bedroom terraced house in Longbenton. The room is a large double with ensuite shower room and built in wardrobe.

The house consists of: designated parking space (for you- I don't drive), entrance hall, downstairs toilet, kitchen/ dining room of good size (2 fridges), lounge and small private garden. On the first floor is my bedroom & bathroom and a guest bedroom/ office (this room will not be rented). On the second floor is your room.

There is space to store bikes in the hall (2 comfortably). The house is ideal for a cycling commute to university. It is a couple of minutes walk from bus stops to town and Longenton Metro station (10 mins to town or 15 mins to the coast). It's about a 20 min cycle to town. Jesmond Dene is close by. The nearest supermarket is Lidl which is a 10 min walk away and there is a large Sainsbury's in High Heaton about a mile away.

My ideal housemate would be a PhD student looking to rent for 1 year; the rent is fixed and includes bills (though these may change). As students, no council tax would be due. Move in date is flexible.

I'm a quiet person (until you get to know me). I rarely drink or have nights out. I love going to the beach, sea swimming, cycling, running and bouldering. I also enjoy baking, reading and singing (quietly) in the shower.
