I’m looking for a lodger to share my home — a spacious, comfortable, and quiet Edwardian terrace that’s been thoughtfully maintained and well-equipped.

The Room
A large, bright double bedroom on the first floor at the front of the house.
It includes:
Double bed with memory foam mattress
Antique dresser with mirror
Generous wardrobe space and bookcase
Desk suitable for home working or study
The shared bathroom features both a roll-top bath and a good-sized shower.

The House
The kitchen-diner is the heart of the home — large enough for eight people and filled with morning light. If you enjoy cooking, you’ll appreciate:
A five-ring gas range
Dishwasher
Quality equipment (Kenwood mixer, Magimix, etc.)
Ample cookware and utensils
There’s also a utility room with washing machine, drying rack, and dehumidifier.
The house has central heating throughout, 61 Mbps WiFi, and is non-smoking with no pets.
As I’m vegetarian/pescatarian, I’d prefer no meat or poultry in the house, please.

Located just off West Road, within a few minutes’ walk of:
International food shops, takeaways, and restaurants
Post Office and local amenities
Excellent bus links into town
About 30 minutes on foot downhill to the university or station
On-street parking available directly outside

About Me
I’m semi-retired — formerly a language school owner, now a trustee/director of the Lit & Phil and an active musician working with a group in Amsterdam. I’m friendly and sociable.

£500 per calendar month, inclusive of all bills: heating, water, electricity, WiFi, and council tax
