Description
We are looking for a new housemate to join our warm and welcoming, communal, LGBTQIA+ friendly home on Sidney Grove.
The house is spacious, but homely, with lots of lovely period features and is just a stone’s throw away from Nunsmoor Park. On the ground floor we have a big kitchen, where we share cups of tea, chats and communal meals (vegan and vegetarian friendly) as often as we can, a yard for growing stuff and secure bike storage. Upstairs we have a big cosy living room with a desk; good for relaxing, watching films together and working from home. We have two bathrooms, one shower room and one with the deepest bath-tub ever!
There is one room available on the upper floor of the house. There is a little bit of flex with the start date, but we're looking for someone to move in for the end of November ideally. There will be a £200 deposit to pay, but no agency fees, as we rent with a friendly and proactive private landlord. The electricity, gas, internet, water and council tax (tax band C) amount to just under £100 a month each. We do a combined Suma order (for bulk buying basics toilet paper, rice, pulses etc.) twice a year, which normally comes to about £130 each.
As for the existing housemates, we are in our 30s, with interests in art, music making, baking, cooking, dead things, anarchy, history, biking about, Slavoj Žižek. We choose to live communally, and work together to respect each other, our home and our environment. We would like someone who is also interested in living communally and who wants the room relatively long-term.
If you are interested please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself and we can invite you for a cuppa and show you around.
