Ensuite or Double Room Available to Rent

Growing up in Nigeria, my partner and I always had relatives, family friends and even our own friends or friends of our siblings stay in our homes for extended periods of time.

In late 2023, we mulled the idea of foster parenting, but we later dropped the idea. As we have always loved the idea of having people live with us and we had a spare bedroom in our five bedroom family home. The thought of having a lodger live with us came to mind, which we decided to give a go.

Our first lodger moved in early January 2024. However, we sadly had to end the agreement due to not keeping his room and shared spaces clean. We are now looking for a new lodger who is clean, and values their own space and privacy as my Partner and I both work from home.

We have two young children (ten & eight yr olds) who are very respectful and kind and never had cause to interact with our previous lodger while he was here.

My personal interests include running/jogging (an average of 4.5 miles daily), reading and writing. I am a multiple award-winning author, performance poet, storyteller, essayist, and children’s author. And my partner loves to cook African delicacies and bake in her spare time.

If our home feels like the perfect place for you, we will be happy to have you live here with us. Please note that even though two rooms are advertised, only one room is available to rent as we are oblivious to the fact that some people would prefer opting for an ensuite room. NO COUPLES or SLEEP OVER arrangements please.

The house is located in the Stephenson Meadows development (beautiful countryside) in Callerton, only 7 miles from the vibrant city of Newcastle and near great transport links and amenities.
