Cosy Double - LGBT House

This advert is for one of the double rooms in my cosy three-bedroom home in Westerhope. I'm a live-in landlord who works at sea 8 months of the year, living in the single room when I'm home, and renting out both double bedrooms.

I'm a relaxed and social landlord who loves having a warm welcoming home. When I'm in the UK, I'm involved in community activism - I run Women's Streetwatch Newcastle UK (weekend night shifts keeping women safe on Bigg Market), and organise events and protests as a lesbian feminist activist.

There will be one other tennant in the home full time, El. She is 21, and an aeroplane engineering student. She liked Doctor Who, and is quiet, but friendly, and looking forward to living in a houseshare for the first time while she finishes her third year at university.

Our household includes three cats, and El has three small snakes in tanks kept in her room. When I am home from sea, I will often have my two small dogs, but they stay elsewhere when I am away.

We are looking for a third housemate who enjoys a similiar vibe to us, and might join for occasional shared meals or kitchen chats, but with no pressure if you prefer your own space.

If you are looking for a friendly, chilled atmosphere and want a proper home rather than just a room, this could be perfect. Especially for a student, exchange student, as there is no deposit required, and you have full use of all ammenities in the home (bedding, cutlery, towels, microwave, etc).

Your Room:

A double room with a double bed, new mattress, all linens included, and a wardrobe.

Rent & Practical Details:

£575 per month - all utilities included, council tax, and all subscriptions. No deposit or references required (only copy of passport and right to rent)

Available from: Mid August
Contract: Monthly rolling with 30 days notice from either party
