The Atlantis is licensed by South Tyneside council and is a premier HMO, one of only a few gold-standard in the town. located in the heart of South Shields we provide you with town center and coastal living in a high quality home. Facilities include BT fibre broadband/ Wi-Fi, kitchen, lounge/ dining room and sun terrace with all rooms ensuite.

The area surrounding is lively and very friendly with a good mix of restaurants, pubs, shops, and local residences; transport links, beaches, parks, and fairground are all within a 5 minute walk. South Tyneside College is a 20-minute walk away, or transport links on the doorstep will have you there on the bus within 10 mins.

This house of multiple occupation is an imposing period property (formally rated a 4-star guesthouse by Visit England) and offers a warm and calming environment in which to live where you will genuinely feel relaxed in its pleasant aura. Victorian characteristics blend well contemporary styled bedrooms.

The communal areas are cleaned once a week, but the general upkeep is expected to be done by the tenants. General room maintenance is carried out by the guests and the rest by the management.

All rooms have double-glazed windows, central heating, TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, desk, lamp, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer.

We supply a mattress protector but you will provide your own bed linen, including duvet and pillows plus towels and shower mat.

All indoor areas are non smoking.

This is a self-catering guesthouse where full access to the kitchen is available 24/7. You will have x2 cupboards and both a compartment in the fridge and freezer. You will also be supplied with your own personal crockery and cutlery.

There is a washing machine and a clothes line in the secure rear yard.

Your rent includes gas, electric, water, council tax, Wi-Fi and TV Licence.

Couples are permitted but pay a supplement of £20 per week.

Links to Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Durham are a 5 minute walk away via our new South Shields transport interchange. The Ferry is also available to take you across the River Tyne to North Shields and Tynemouth, and 15 minutes in a taxi will get you to the Port of Tyne International Passenger Terminal.

We are a local, family run business dedicated to looking after you, so any problems you encounter within the house we will resolve with you.
