Highly recommend this site. I have successfully let out the room again. Each time the room has become free I have secured another within a few weeks maximum.

My home is a clean, tidy, peaceful two bedroomed upper flat, warm and comfortable, just 3 mins walk from South Tyneside hospital, 15 mins walk to college and the nearest metro for Newcastle/Sunderland is a 6 minutes walk. Ideal for a mature marine student or professional.

The flat has just been renovated and has a log burning stove in the lounge with large TV, wood floors and a brand new kitchen with a huge fridge, washing machine, wifi etc.

Your bedroom is good size with a double bed, newly re-skimmed and neutrally painted with built in wardrobe with space for another if required wardrobe. It is a light room but blinds and curtains form a black out if necessary. There is a spacious shared bathroom with separate shower cubicle.

Full gas central heating. Street parking is ample and a back yard can if necessary house a motorcycle. There is storage available in the loft for excess suitcases/clothes etc.
Via the rear staircase there is a yard which is sunny in the afternoon to sit out. There is a small, deaf very well behaved cat.

I work term time weekdays 8am - 630pm then out most nights and usually take long breaks in the holidays. Shift workers have a lot of peace.

As well as the Metro being 6 minutes walk, there are buses to Sunderland, South Shields and Newcastle just a few minutes walk and the beach is less than 2 miles away. There is a great Italian restaurant and a park just a few minutes walk with free tennis courts, plenty of shops a short walk away.

I am looking for a flatmate who is friendly, respectful, who doesn't take drugs nor plays really really loud music/TV, except when wearing headphones. Sorry for being a bit picky but I feel it is best to state also that if you leave wet towels on the bathroom floor and shavings and hairs in the shower or the basin, male or female, sharing just won't last!

There will be a reduction for students who do not pay council tax.

A condition of the room-let is that it is serviced by myself weekly which includes a change of bedding, vacuumed and cleaned although you have absolute privacy at all other times. Bedding is provided but you may prefer your own colours. Your own cutlery and plastic lunch boxes would be useful as mine tend to disappear. I do expect that you clean up after your cooking sessions including spillages on the floor. Sorry but past experience is that some people think the fairies wash their dishes for them but it has been me doing it all along!

If evidence of smoking is found in your room then you will be asked to leave.
