The house is in the much sought-after Cotswold village of Ilmington, which is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Conservation Area. It has two pubs: one a pub/restaurant and the other a local. There is also a very good community shop, which stocks local produce as well as essentials, and a community cafe for bacon butties, baked potatoes and afternoon teas.

The village is 10 minutes from Shipston on Stour and 20 minutes from Stratford and Moreton.
