You’ll be signing the contract directly with the agent, and viewings can also be arranged with the agent, so everything is handled properly through them.
The contract rent is £760/month, but I’ll subsidise the difference for the first 6 months, so your effective rent will be £598/month for the first 6 months.
I can offer this discount because I paid 6 months upfront at the start of the tenancy and I’m looking to be reimbursed for that upfront amount. For that reason, the £598/month rate is conditional on paying the first 6 months upfront.
To keep things safe and straightforward, you can either:
• pay the 6 months upfront (£598 × 6) to me, or
• pay it to the agent, and the agent can transfer the reimbursement to me (same outcome).
After the first 6 months, the rent for the final month returns to £760/month, and you’ll pay that directly to the agent.
