Double Room Available – in a friendly, creative and outdoorsy home

Hey! I’m looking for a housemate to share my lovely cosy house with me. I’ve had a best friend lodge with me for the past year, but she is moving out and going travelling so I’m looking for someone to take her spot.

You’ll be living with me, Rhi, a friendly, down to earth, busy human, who shares a passion for all things creative and outdoorsy. In my spare time I love to get outside - either hiking, running, swimming or cycling. To wind down I love sitting in front of the fire watching a good Netflix show, playing guitar and singing, or cooking a hearty meal. I have a lovely little social network here in Swansea so on the weekends I’m usually pretty busy with plans here or visiting friends elsewhere.

I enjoy a good night out from time to time, but I don’t make this a regular thing.
Being able to chat with my housemate and hang out together would also be lovely,(I don’t want us to be ships in the night!), however I am also someone who needs their own space, and would respect yours. Sharing meals from time to time or watching TV in the evening would be great!

Just a few things to consider - I am looking for someone with similar schedules - I work a 9-5 in the NHS and need to be in bed at a reasonable time every evening, so if you work a job that means getting in late at night regularly this probably wouldn’t work. Bonus if you actually work in the NHS! - it’s not easy navigating this line of work and always helps to have someone who understands the demands here :)

Location wise, it’s about 10 mins drive from the centre of Swansea and there are bus links frequently into the centre from a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the house. I would suggest a car is needed if living here due to proximity from city centre.
The house is situated just in front of kilvey woods so if you like nature this is perfect for you - within 2 minutes walk you are in the most gorgeous forest with loads of trails for walking and biking.

I love my home, it means a great deal to me, so I would also ask that you respect it in the same way - keeping the house as clean and tidy as possible.

Timings wise, the room is free from December onwards, but this could be somewhat flexible if I found the right person. I would ask that we review things after 3 months to see if it’s working for the both of us, and if it is, I’d be more than happy to extend.

I would consider couples - but the rent would be adjusted to accommodate for this.
