The higgihaus@montepelier is a beautifully appointed and stylish shared house with seven en-suite rooms.

No expense has been spared in the transformation of this enormous four-storey Victorian property into a comfortable, stylish and spacious 'higgihaus’ that includes a large kitchen/diner, a laundry, secure storage for bikes and surfboards, off-street parking and our signature 12-in1 higgihub – a multi-function social space that includes (amongst other things) a cinema, games room, gym, yoga studio and co-working space.

One simple all-inclusive monthly higgihaus fee includes:

1. All fittings, furniture and artworks in your private room and ensuite bathroom,
2. Full access and use of the communal kitchen, dining area, community space, laundry and ‘12-in-1’ higgihub,
3. All bills (gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband),
4. TV license (for the TV in the community space and higgihub)
5. Internet-enabled motion-sensitive security cameras and lights (front and rear),
6. Keyless digital entry system (front),
7. A cleaner (weekly cleaning of the communal areas).
8. A gardener (monthly maintenance of lawn, flower beds and hard landscaping),

There is no deposit to pay; instead, we’ll ask you to purchase a deposit replacement insurance policy (cost is around £134).

Each room has been designed to be incredibly comfortable. The mattresses are cutting edge, pocket- sprung and ‘pillow topped’. High-definition internet-connected smart TVs adorn the walls, USB charging points have been placed immediately adjacent to the bed, the WIFI is business-grade, and the broadband is fast. The rainfall shower in the ensuite bathroom delivers an awesome shower experience.

The kitchen/diner space is fully equipped and includes everything the 'higgihausmates’ might reasonably need and includes: two induction hobs, two double ovens, a separate combination oven/microwave, an integrated dishwasher, two integrated fridges and two freezers.

House movie-nights are delivered courtesy of a wall hung 55inch 4k Ultra HD smart TV. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s a separate, multi-function social space that includes (amongst other things) a cinema, gym, yoga studio and co-working facility (we call it the higgihub).

As for location, we think it’s perfect - only minutes from the bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the Uplands in one direction and a hop, skip and jump from the City Centre and all that Oxford Street, Castle Square and Wind Street has to offer in the other.

There are no agency fees as we don’t use agencies.
