About the house:
We have a double bedroom, which is available from January 2025. It is a spacious room, furnished with a chest of drawers, clothes rail, double bed, TV, and desk—perfect for working from home or relaxing evenings. Lodgers are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen- diner and the attached TV area (see photos). There is an enclosed garden which has a table and chairs. There is also free parking on our road.
Our house is a 4-bed terrace located in the SA1 Swansea postcode area, just a 10-minute walk from Swansea city centre, the marina, and shops at Parc Tawe. It is also equal distances to both singleton and Bay campus.
2 years ago we completely refurbished the house with a new kitchen, bathrooms, re-plastered and painted every room and completed a full loft extension. It is now spacious and contemporary with some quirks of a classic Swansea terrace as well. You can expect lovely neighbours and a safe road with free parking. The door is narrow, as are the stairs unfortunately, so not great for wheelchair access. Shared amenities: washer/ dryer, washing line, dishwasher, kitchen appliances eg microwave, WiFi, TV.

We are a friendly, active couple in our mid-20s. We have been living with housemates/ lodgers for 2 years now and enjoy the extra company and energy around the house.
We both work full-time in hybrid roles, so some days in the office and others working from home. We both enjoy playing sports in the evenings and being out on the Gower for walks and runs, being creative (DIY or baking) and seeing friends. One thing to note is that we regularly have our families dogs to stay with us which we love, and hopefully our housemates/ lodgers will too! They are very friendly and love evening snuggles.
Ideal Lodger:
• Young professional or PhD student
• Clean and tidy, willing to help keep communal areas clean like the kitchen and bathrooms.
• Leads a similar lifestyle to us—no heavy drinking or partying, but enjoys occasional socialising.
• Non-smoker.
• No drugs.
• Comfortable with dogs in the house.
