We are Matt and Alison, a professional couple working in Swansea and have a comfortable double room to let in our house between the Uplands and Town Centre in Swansea. We are not party animals so it's peaceful most of the time. Our previous lodger was with us over five years and our current lodger is moving out late November after two years due to buying a flat so room will be available mid December first thing in 2025.
Looking for someone who wants somewhere quiet to live but who is sociable and enjoys a chat over a cup of coffee :)
The house is best suited to a vegetarian / vegan non-smoking professional in full time employment or a mature student / postgraduate or postdoc at the university. We would consider an undergraduate or a younger working person on the proviso that it's not a party student house but a quieter environment !
The room is fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, recessed shelf cupboard, desk and chair, bedside table, lamp etc.
In walking distance:
Swansea Metropolitan University
Swansea University (Singleton Campus)
The Uplands shops and Main Bus Route
Ten minutes walk to city centre
Bryn-y-Mor Road shops (5 mins walk)
Railway station (15 min walk)
Short walk to the beach and promenade
Leisure Centre LC2 (15 min walk)!
Facilities include:
Broadband Internet (Virgin Media).
Modern kitchen in good condition. Electric oven, gas stove. Dining-lounge area, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine.
Large double size living room with woodburner.
Shower room
Enclosed rear yard.
Parking is on-street.
Functioning and annually serviced burglar alarm.
All bills and internet included subject to fair usage.
Single occupancy non-smokers only.
