Winchburgh is a thriving village with excellent transport links to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The No 38operates a very frequent service through the village going to Edinburgh in the East and Stirling in the west. A new service has also recently commenced providing a direct link to the airport.
The village is currently undergoing a large re-development which is to include a new schools and rail station (2021) . Amenities include primary schools, church, pub, Sainsbury’s, butcher, chemist, post office, petrol station and car garage.

Some local places of interest include, Dundas Castle, the Union Canal, Linlithgow Palace, Blackness Castle, Beecraigs Country Park, South Queensferry and the Kelpies.
