Welcome to Heima!

Heima (meaning ‘home’ or ‘to be at home’) is my lovely cosy home found on a very quiet residential road by the woods and Heima is looking for one more happy soul to come and join it. So, this is a ‘Live-in Landlord’ tenancy, just to clarify.

On offer is a very peaceful 3 bed professional house share in Bearwood, just 10 minutes drive / bus ride from the city centre and with beautiful Warley Woods and Lightwoods parks as your ‘back gardens.’

Currently the house is home to myself (‘40s Brit chap, nature-loving rambler, traveller, Japan-fanboy, cinema-junky) and Erin (‘20s Brit lass, Radio news presenter). A very friendly home. I will often be busy with work, volunteering, socials, travelling and studying (and failing to learn) Japanese, but around as often as I’m not I guess.

Heima comprises :

* Long galley kitchen with breakfast table, gas cooker, dish washer, 2 fridge-freezers, washer-dryer

* Beautiful rear garden which blooms in bright colours most of the year around and containing a outside decking area and two sheds (bike storage possibilities).

Room available :

Room 2 : This spacious, light double room is on the first floor at the front of the house with an east-facing aspect. The room is fully furnished with Queen-sized bed, drawers, bedside table, book shelving unit, integrated wardrobe, desk, desk lamp and chair. TV aerial point in room.

Included in the rent :

* Gas, electricity, water & Council Tax
* Unlimited Wi-Fi broadband

Other perks include your own Netflix profile, Smart TV, DVD/Blu-ray player in the living room, Spotify, Amazon Prime and MUBI movie accounts that can be used on the communal TV, A beautiful open log-burning fireplace, super friendly housemates and if you want to pop along on Tuesdays or Wednesdays with us I can usually swing you free cinema tickets too :)

Heima is very much a place to genuinely call home and it would be great to find someone who appreciates and contributes to that vibe.

Transport connections :

* Car : 1 minute from the Hagley Road (A456), 10 mins from city centre,10 mins from the M5. Free roadside parking
* Bus : main Bearwood bus interchange 5 mins walk away and Hagley Road stops 5 mins walk away. Plentiful services direct into the city centre and many other destinations in Birmingham. Number 48 Service (goes to QE hospital/ Uni of Birmingham) within 2 minute walk.
* Bike storage - bikes can be stored in a lockable external garden shed with easy access.
