Unique opportunity for quiet two bed house

Hi. Thanks for clicking on the ad. My partner and I are moving to Hertfordshire and will be leaving this house empty. We are looking for a lodger to occupy the spare room. We may visit and be staying in the house from time to time to visit friends or attend work events - probably a couple of days a school month.

We live in a friendly, quiet family residential area. Our neighbours are lovely and we are good friends with them. The lodgers bedroom backs onto woodland and so there is often birdsong in the morning, which is lovely. There is a local bus into the city centre and the property is walking distance to UOB//QE or university train station.

The room will be furnished with a small double bed, wardrobe, desk and small chest of drawers. The room has been used as an Airbnb for some time, and as a couple we are familiar with hosting people in our home.

This listing is ideal for a postgraduate student or professional looking for a peaceful home, as for the bulk of the month the lodger would live alone. We’d consider a couple for this reason, however the room is possible too compact for two to share comfortably. We’d also consider mon-Fri lets and pets, depending on the situation.

We do have a greyhound, who is not friendly with other non-greyhounds (but loves people) and is not cat friendly. We’d consider a lodger with small furries/aquatic/reptilian pets but sadly not cats or dogs.

The lodger will have run of the house and will be mostly responsible for gas/electricity/water/council tax when we leave the property, but we are happy to contribute to these costs on months we visit the home. This can be agreed and if you prefer contracted between us ☺️
