Description
Single occupant flat shared with multiple housemates, one female, the rest are male.
All fairly quiet occupants who keep to themselves, floor high enough to feel secure but not enough to give yourself vertigo. Probably the cheapest rent you'll find for somewhere decent to live. It also has washrooms you can pay for with your phone to do laundry as well as common areas to meet and make new friends.
It's within a 2 minute walk to a Costcutter, Nisa local, Dixies Chicken and more! The nearest McDonalds is 4 mins away and there are multiple pubs to explore around the area, including Gosta Green if you're a sports fan that likes pool or the Wetherspoons located around Birmingham. 2 of which are within a 10 - 15 minute walk of the flat.
There's also a Tesco, Greggs and Costa Coffee are all also very close by near where you'll find reception for Mary Sturge as well as other Unite accommodations at the Aston Student Village next door to Costa. This is where you'll go to report any problems, that is if you haven't done it on your phone on the handy Unite app. It is also where you'll go to pick up your mail which is quite useful as you can find yourself completing multiple tasks at once as everything is so conveniently close to get to such as shopping or taking out the rubbish. The flat does have a bin inside but the shared kitchen also has 2 bins, one for general waste, one for recycling and they can be emptied in the main refuse outside the flat. Even though the refuse may seem close, the amount of rats I've seen at Mary Sturge are very few, especially compared to other accommodations within the area. The kitchen also has a microwave, which is cleaner than most accommodation kitchens, 2 fridges and a freezer for food, cupboard space as well as 2 ovens and 2 hobs, one with 4 rings, one with 2. It also has a kettle and someone currently staying there has an air fryer. There is also a sink and dry board as shown. Overall this is one of the better Unite accommodations to stay in. The reasons I'm leaving are purely personal and preparational for my adult life post University.
All bills, including internet as stated are covered by Unite pending your deposit and rent.
NOTE: THE IMAGES ARE NOT MINE AS I MOVED BACK HOME HOWEVER I TOOK THE TIME TO ENSURE THE IMAGES REPRESENT THE FLATS LAYOUT AS BEST AS POSSIBLE!
