Description
2 rooms (furnished) available in house (aprox 5 miles from Bham city centre) with bedlinen (or bring your own if you prefer) with clothes storage, bed and desk/table for short-term lodgings in south Birmingham.
Kitchen facilities are limited so not ideal for people that want to cook meals everyday. Simple meals only.
Small room with single bed, wardrobe, mirror and desk, £400 a month. Shared shower room.
Spacious room with a double-bed, desk, mirror and wardrobe, £600 a month (ideal if you need more privacy and a quiet place to study or read). with a shared shower room. There's also a single bed in this room so could be used for an occasional guest (this will need to be discussed with host/me before any invites are given)
Living with the owner of the property also so a safe environment.
Ideal for quiet, calm and peaceful living.
Please be aware that you will be responsible for cleaning the room, shower and toilet area on a weekly basis. No food storage in the bedroom - there will be space in the kitchen area. Depending on time of year, inside and outside dining areas available. Smoking only outside in the garden area.
Payments and a contract need to be paid and organised in advance. Ideal for apprenticeships, adults and/or students who want a quiet and relaxing household/area. Great location for exploring other parts of England. Make an enquiry to consider this further.
Parking available. Very good for public transport. On the 11, 35, 50, 76 and 49 bus routes. Aprox 25 minutes walk to a train station (Kings Norton Station and Bournville Train Station at the famous Cadbury World center).
Easy travel to Birmingham City centre (one bus from my home and journey time is aprox 30 mins before 7am and aprox 30-50 mins after 7am) or Moseley, Stirchley, Bournville, Edgbaston, Solihull and Longbridge. Near to M42 and M40 routes.
Plenty of local parks, pubs, cafes, shops in the area- and a reservoir - all within walking distance.
Travelling to the University of Birmingham (Edgbaston Campus) is easy with virtually no walking - the 35 bus is 1 minute walk from my house and links to the 76 bus route by Kings Heath Park. The 76 bus will drop you off outside the university on the A38/Bristol Road. Aprox 40 mins journey. This bus then continues to the Queen Elizabeth hospital. Or go by train from Bournville train station (2 stops to the university campus).
Very good route for cyclists. There's a covered area in the garden for bikes.
WIFI Access = emergency only. There is no broadband in the house and this will continue. Lodgers will need to get your own Unlimited Internet SIM card.
Shared use of the shower room, lounge and garden. There are 2 shower rooms and 3 toilets in the house. This is not a houseshare. You are renting a room in a private house for an agreed short term only with the owner of the house.
