Decent and affordable furnished rooms are available in this decent quiet mid-terraced property near to the City Centre.
The ground floor comprises a reception room, a lounge with dining table, bookshelves, sofa, a kitchen, door to the garden and a shower room. 2 double rooms are on the first floor, each with plenty of storage space, especially the one on the garden side. On the second floor is a double en-suite with double bed, bedside drawer and mirror. The house is for single lodgers only to comply with housing regulations.
There is fast broadband. The kitchen has fridge (there is also an extra one in the lounge), microwave, cooker, washing machine, kettle, toaster and plenty of cutlery and plates. An ironing table is available.
Ladies, the street is residential and close to a well-lit busy road. The bathroom is fitted with an inside lock.
The house is within walking distance from the city centre (21mn walk according to Google Maps) and Fargo village. Gosford and Stoke Green parks are a couple of minutes away. Amenities like Co-op, Post Office, Humber Pharmacy and various takeaways are around the corner. Lidl is about 10mn walk. The house is close to the bus routes on Humber Road and Binley roads to the City Centre.
There is always plenty of parking space on the street. Smoking is fine outside. All bills are included (gas, water, internet). ID's/residence cards are required before moving in. The deposit is symbolic at £100 (cheapest in Coventry?).
The rent is cheap as there is no cleaning lady. It is lodgers' responsibility to clean the common areas. This includes the front porch and backyard being attended for. The backyard is slabbed. There are branches between it and the neighbours' garden, and branches on the back of the house. Overtime grass grows between the slabs in the backyard and front porch. Everything needs trimming and cutting once a year or so.
The pictures were taken before housemates moved in. If leaving without giving a good clean to /attending one's room and common areas (bathroom, kitchen, floors, windows...) or attending the backyard and front porch, a fee will be taken off the deposit. If deciding not to take the room, the deposit is non-refundable.
The property was refurbished recently. A new boiler was fitted in 2023. The ground floor and staircase were repainted in Christmas 2024.
