Would you like to live in a Housing Coop?

We are a mixed community in Coventry comprising of 6 adults and one small child; with a focus on building community, anti-capitalism, environmentalism and social justice.

You will get your own private room and we have a large shared living room and kitchen and big communal garden with fruit trees, vegetable beds, BBQ area, a hammock and lots of space to relax in the sun (or rain) or spend time with friends. We are also lucky to have the space to host some community projects including a bike repair project and practical migrant support project.

We are a farily quiet coop so you will get lots of time to yourself but we eat shared meals together now and again, and love board games, arts and writing, sharing ideas, and being outside.

As coop members we all take an active role in the running of the place; taking on occasional bits of fixing, gardening and admin alongside fortnightly meetings, and monthly DIY and Garden days for us to do some jobs together. In return we are able to have control over our housing and keep our rent as affordable as possible.

If you are interested we are happy to answer any questions or chat on the phone, and will then invite you for a couple of visits to see the place, meet everyone and for both you and us see if it feels like a good fit. Please be aware this can take a bit of time, and sorry this can be a bit nerve racking but we are all generally pretty friendly, and if there is anything that we can do to help make this process accessible to you then please don't hesitate to ask.
