Description
We are Nikita, Gwillym, Jolyon, Oliver & Aaron, a group of young professionals, apprentices and postgrads, looking for a person who is new to Birmingham to join our household.
This spacious house is 30 minutes away from the city centre by bus and 10 minutes walking distance from several restaurants and pubs along Hagley Road. There are 3 off road parking spaces. Its location provides an easy commute into the city centre, or the west or north side of Birmingham, as well as being convenient for the shops and bars in Bearwood. There are two gyms, a swimming pool and a rugby ground within a short distance.
All bedrooms are spacious doubles, the ground floor being devoted to communal space to create a social environment, including a study, dining room, living room and kitchen.
There are multiple wifi access points located throughout the house, ensuring that the Internet speeds are fast and reliable in all the bedrooms and communal room. (Circa 75-100mb download speed per user).
The large garden is perfect for outdoor parties in the summer with a patio. The layout of the house therefore allows you to have a cosy night in with your housemates or the freedom to relax privately in your own room. On a practical note There's a laundry room with two washing machines tumble dryer, and drying racks.
We're keen to find a like-minded, sociable and respectful person to join the group. The house is part of the network of 15 Gradcommunity houses, located within a small area of Edgbaston within walking distance, giving you the opportunity to be part of a community of young people.
Events are often organised between the houses, whether a movie night, a Xmas party or a night out. There is always someone to spend time with should you choose to do so. Gradcommunity is owned amd founded by an innovative landlord, who recognised that young people new to a city want more than just a roof over their head. They want good company! His wife, a solicitor who lectures in Law at Nottingham Trent University, ensures that the administrative aspects are kept in order.
The ethos of Gradcommunity is that the household chooses who moves in. Therefore you won’t be anonymous renting a room in a house, but will be part of a household with a sense of community where members of the household support each other.
We look forward to hearing from you!
