Description
We are Shweta, a Masters student in Cancer Sciences at UoB, Charlotte, a Theatre and Education Freelancer, Anashwara, who did an MSc in Civil Engineering at UoB, Rhys who went to Sheffield University and now works for the MOD. We are looking for 2 peoiple who want to socialise and be part of our household.
Our house is linked to seven other grad house shares in the road, including next door. The houses have large gardens, great for entertaining, bbqs or sports. One house has a full size volleyball court!
There is a mix of on and off road parking. Buses are available from the top of the road direct to the city centre, which is around 30 mins commute. Similar times to the QE hospital and University of Birmingham.
The house is also a short walk to Bearwood high street for a supermarket shop, Argos, Costa and a wide mix of independent restaurants and around 4 pubs. There is a gym within walking distance and an Olympic sized swimming and diving centre (Sandwell Aquatics) less than 2 miles away with direct bus connection. The rugby club with modern facilities is within walking distance.
The ground floor is devoted to communal space. A kitchen diner and additional lounge space and large rear garden. There are two laundry spaces with a washing machine, dryer and ample drying spaces. The layout of the house therefore allows you to have a cosy night in with your housemates or the freedom to relax privately in your own room.
The ethos of Gradcommunity is that the household meet and choose their housemates whether that be virtually or in person. Households are diverse in terms of gender, hobbies, ethnicity and career roles etc and are encouraged to connect with others with similar interests in nearby houses, whether that be sport, food or gaming.
Our landlord and his wife have been professional landlords for 27 year. s You will be dealing with them directly rather than an agency. They trust the households to choose who they think will be most suitable to share their home. We will therefore be showing you around and choosing who moves in. If you would like to meet us and arrange a viewing, if you reply to this message, our landlord will organise a viewing any evening or weekend when most of us will be around to meet you.
