Description
We are looking for sociable professionals/graduates/apprentices who require sociable accommodation for a few months until they find their feet without being tied to a 6 month or 12 months lease, maybe as they are new to Birmingham after graduating from university or have started a new job and have moved out of their parents home for the first time. We are offering 2-3 month licences in our spacious Georgian house within 20 minutes walking distance of the pubs and bars on Broad Street and Brindley Place. Its location provides an easy commute to the centre or the west or north side of Birmingham.
When you start a new job, or move to a new city as a young professional, it can be overwhelming. We are offering the opportunity to share with like minded young professionals to enable you to find your feet and make new friends before moving to a more permanent base.
The house is part of Gradcommunity which for 30 years has been providing homes for up to 100 young professionals at a time across our 15 houses enabling them to create a life for themselves in a new environment as part of a young professional community. All of the houses are linked with each other, providing the opportunity to make friends outside of the residence you are living in. Once you are settled, you then have the option to move to one of our more permanent residences providing accommodation to between 6 and 8 young professionals. Sociable events are often organised between the houses, whether a movie night, a summer barbecue or a night out. There is always someone to spend time with should you choose to do so. Gradcommunity is owned by a professional landlord and his wife, a non-practicing solicitor. You therefore will be renting from landlords you can trust. The ethos of Gradcommunity is that the household chooses who moves in. Therefore you won’t be anonymous renting a room in a house, but will be part of a household with a sense of community where members of the household support each other.
All bedrooms are spacious doubles, the ground floor being devoted to communal space to create a open and inviting environment. The lounge leads to a large garden, with a patio and is perfect for outdoor gatherings in the summer. The house has multiple wifi access points through out to ensure you have good speed and reliable internet access in all areas of the house. There's a laundry room with two large washer machines a dryer and hanging. drying space.
It is a spacious grade II listed property with thick walls so you have privacy in your room, yet great social space too. It is surprisingly quiet and calm particularly in the garden, yet always plenty of activity around the kitchen and adjoining dining space.
The layout of the house therefore allows you to have a cosy night in with your housemates or the freedom to relax privately in your own room.
We look forward to hearing from you!
