Description

Friendly home - We cook for each other regularly and include people who have lived here.
I’d like to get back to weekly cooking for each other. Ideal base for those new to Birmingham. Looking for a warm, sociable and laid back person who likes living with other people rather than eating in their room all the time. But not a party house!

Well furnished home not just a rented space. Big kitchen with table, plus dining room and sitting room downstairs with wooden floors. Rent includes fortnightly cleaner, the kitchen has a dishwasher.

Regular frequent buses to town and to University and QE.

It’s a small double room at the top of the house. It's cosy with a view over the garden . The room has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, shelves, plus drawers under the bed. There’s a surprisingly large amount of storage.

I can lend bedding and towels if you’re coming from overseas.

Kings Heath is a neighbourhood with lots of cafes and life. It's a very quiet area & only a 5-minute walk from the Hare and Hounds, a wonderful pub with live music. Also near to Kings Heath park where the Kings Heath running club meets.

Shared rooms are kept clean and tidy. We take it in turns to do the dishwasher/ take out the rubbish.

The other housemates apart from me are Fred and Tom. Fred is a music student, jazz drummer (not in the house!) Tom is gay and male, 37, he works as a bar supervisor and has great pub recommendations. I’m a straight female, love conversation and the cinema. This is a trans-friendly space.

Shared bathroom for you, Tom and Fred plus downstairs loo.

There are 2 friendly cats Archie and Chloe - realistically you need to like cats. They are very chatty.

Usual mod cons and amenities including unlimited wireless broadband, tall fridge, tall frostfree freezer, double oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
We currently have a fortnightly cleaner, cost included. We share out emptying the dishwasher and the recycling.

Rent includes council tax, water rates and TV licence, line rental and broadband. We split bills for gas/electricity only. Approximate average cost of this is £45 a month, less in the summer.

Deposit is one month's rent, payable in advance to secure the room.

Non-smokers and non-drug takers only.

If you’re interested tell me a bit about yourself. Come round, have a cup of tea, see the house and meet us.
