1 single room in quiet and convenient location

If you are looking for accommodation, then consider house-sharing with me and my retired husband in our comfortable house in a very pleasant and quiet area on the south side of Coventry, close to the A45, not overlooked and backing on to woodland.

For over 20 years I have been providing accommodation, mainly for professionals, post-graduate students and academics. Our house is only two minutes' walk from the Memorial Park, which, with its 3 km circuit, is ideal for those who like to exercise. Our garden is a birdwatchers’ delight. In addition to visits from wildlife we have two friendly cats.

For those who are studying or who are medical staff, we are within 5 minutes’ walk from direct bus routes to Warwick University, Coventry University, Coventry railway station and UHCW. The campus at Warwick University and the railway station are both about 5 minutes’ drive away (and about on 30 minutes on foot) and UHCW is just over 10 minutes' drive away.
We have ample secure off-street parking. Local business parks and JLR are within 10 minutes' drive.

There are convenience stores at the end of our road as well as a gastro-pub. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Costco are all just over 5 minutes’ drive away.

We are very flexible and are particularly accustomed to guests who work long hours or who have to make an early start for work in the mornings and like a quiet environment to which to return at the end of the day.

We have a medium-sized first-floor bedroom available at a rent of £500 pcm inclusive, furnished with a fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, a bureau desk and fitted bookshelves and immediately adjacent to a shower-room, which is shared with a family member.

Weekly rates are also available for those who require accommodation Mondays - Fridays or for other periods.

Bedding and towels are provided, unless you prefer to use your own. Meals are not provided, but you have full use of our kitchen and laundry facilities and a wide range of kitchen utensils.

We have very fast and reliable broadband. The lounge, its 55inch TV and a variety of satellite stations, including Sports Channels, Netflix and Mubi, are available to share by arrangement.

Some of our previous guests have been working weekdays in or around Coventry, or lecturing part-time, with homes in other parts of the UK or overseas. Others have been studying full-time for PhD’s or undertaking post-graduate research at the local universities. We are very flexible in your length of stay; it can be as short or as long as you like. We don’t require you to sign a contract for a specific period. If you should find that we or the house or the location weren’t suitable for you, or your circumstances should change for any reason, then you could leave at short notice.

An easy-going, friendly, congenial and quiet atmosphere is what we provide. It is ideal for a combination of rest or study and low-key socialising; we’re here when you want us to be, and we’re largely invisible when you want to be quietly on your own.

It’s not a partying venue. Above all, it is quiet, and therefore an ideal location for academics. professionals and technicians requiring relaxed and congenial accommodation or somewhere quiet to study.
