Description
Hi there, Iain here. I am looking to share my spacious comfortable family home with someone who is looking for a pleasant, stable environment in which to live, whether that be short or longer term, as a live-in lodger.
The house is a large end of terrace property with three double bedrooms, one of which I am offering here. The house has been restored to a high standard and I maintain that standard, whilst at the same time liking the lived-in look and feel, it is a home, not a show home.
The room on offer is a large double room which can be furnished or unfurnished, depending on someone’s needs. There is a shared bathroom, second WC, large kitchen, and lounge. There is a well-maintained garden too. All the communal areas are included and accessible to anyone living here.
The rent is all inclusive of bills. CT is Band B.
There is no off-street parking, but plenty of free parking on the road outside the house. The area is pretty stable and an old suburb of Birmingham, with mixed residential and local shops nearby. Heartlands Hospital is about 5 mins drive and there is good access to the NEC/Airport. The nearest train station is Stechford, just over a mile away, or Acocks Green is about a mile and half. There are good bus routes to the city centre.
I work from home at present, using one of the rooms for my therapy work and spend a lot of time here. Therefore, I'm not looking for someone who currently permanently or very frequently WFH, it would be too much to be around each other 24/7 and would impact on my work too. That said, now and again is fine and perhaps part of the new norm. I'm flexible on this.
I am an older gay man, and as such am probably looking for someone who is also gay to share the house, though that’s not set in stone, I’d rather find the right person to share with in the end; It’s just there as a factor to consider. The sort of person I am likely to get on with best is someone who is; stable, considerate, discreet, social as well as independent, outgoing but wanting a quieter environment in which to live in perhaps.
I am in no rush as such to find someone, I would rather spend time finding the right person as far as possible, where we both think the arrangement will work well.
There is a cat, Casper (I know, she’s confused), she comes with the house too. Fusses are not obligatory, but you will be her friend for life, or until the next meal, if you do.
Get in touch if interested in any of the above and have a chat, Iain.
