Description
Our house is in a quiet Cul-de-Sac and a nice neighbourhood.
Our ideal housemate(s) would be another single mum with a child of a similar age to mine (9). However, that's only an ideal and I know it's asking a lot! We are a Queer-friendly house, so you must be comfortable with this.
We have one Persian cat who is very friendly, but wouldn't get on with other pets.
We are close to town and the station (0.6m), with trains to Brighton in 10 mins and London Victoria of London Bridge in 55 minutes (fastest). Gatwick is 20 mins.
Originally I tried to find a housemate who would clean/do laundry in return for rent but apparently I violated some modern slavery laws so had to adjust my requirements. Someone suggested I just use the rent money to pay a cleaner, which sounded genius. So there's the motivation for me to have a lodger.
The other reason is that since it's just me and my son, it can feel a bit isolated, and I think another person living with us could be really beneficial. We would probably get on with a quiet or sociable person, though, since although we would enjoy company, we are used to our alone time.
I'm afraid the pictures don't give a lot away, hopefully I'll get around to posting some more, but the bedroom in the picture is the box room. We have a double room and one more that's in between, so there are options. The rent could be adjusted depending on which room you'd want.
We look forward to hearing from you!
