We have a good sized double room available for lodger in our large family home. We want our lodger to feel part of our household rather than strangers living in the same house.
The house is on a very quiet, peaceful lane with plenty of available parking and secure space for a bike. The room is upstairs and there is full use of the family bathroom. There is sufficient space for a seating/desk area in the room in addition to the bed, should you need to work from home. There is a large wardrobe/cupboard with double hanging rail and baskets for further storage. There is a chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. The room has been newly decorated and furnished very recently.
The downstairs of the house has the shared areas of the den, kitchen/lounge area, and the garden. Bills included (water, gas/electricity, council tax, broadband).
Some information about us:
• I am a teacher and I work at the local village infant school
• My youngest son (19) is at home doing a gap year and he hopes to go to university in September this year
• My eldest son (21) is at university in London and is at home during the holidays
• My interests are walking, reading, socialising with friends and cooking
Who we are looking for:
We’re open minded about who our lodger might be, but the must-haves, aside from the obvious of being able to pay rent in full and on time, are:
• We would like a female housemate
• Not suitable for smokers
• Must keep room clean & tidy, and tidy up after use of the kitchen
• Must be emotionally intelligent and good at communicating.
