Lovely, light, spacious double room to rent in my mid-century 3-bed house in Hurstpierpoint.
You’d be sharing with myself and my 9-year-old daughter (she’s here 4 nights a week), plus two friendly cats.
🗓 Looking for
Ideally a Monday–Friday lodger (2–4 nights per week).
Occasional weekends by agreement.
Not suitable for full-time occupancy or working from home.
This would suit a professional, commuter, or student looking for a calm, weekday base.

• Spacious, light home with large garden
• Furnished double room with garden view
• Shared kitchen and bathroom
• Quiet, tidy, respectful household
• Non-smoking home
Furniture can be adjusted if needed.

• Female preferred
• Independent and self-sufficient
• Works or studies away from the house during the day
• Looking for a part-time / weekday room, not a full-time home
• Clean, tidy, and thoughtful with shared spaces
• Comfortable living in a family home
• Not a night owl — we value our sleep
This is a peaceful, low-key home, so I’m looking for someone who enjoys their own routine and mostly socialises out of the house.

I’m house-proud and value a clean, calm space.
An interest in gardening, music, creativity, or being eco-conscious is a bonus, but not essential.
I run a vintage clothing and bridal business and also work part-time as a TA, so I’m often out and about in Brighton/London or away visiting my partner.

Hurstpierpoint is a great village with good pubs, restaurants, shops, and access to lovely green spaces and the South Downs.
• Easy access to the A23
• Approx. 30-minute walk to Hassocks station (direct to London/Brighton)
• Easier if you have a car
Plumpton College, Sussex Uni, London all easily accessible.

• Two references required (personal & professional)
• Council tax may be charged on top depending on occupancy
