Double room in shared house, for professional working person or couple only.

The house is in a tranquil really quiet location without traffic noise or passing cars. We enjoy stunning long-distance views over Sussex from the kitchen living room dining room deck and garden. The back garden backs onto fields and trees.

The room is a 3 x 3.3 metres (described by Estate Agents as a double, but in all reality more a large single) with fitted wardrobes. WiFi. A TV point [Freeview] can be fitted if you want one. Our current Lodger has a single bed in the room but you could swap the bed for a double or (better) a 4ft bed if you prefer. A computer table can be provided if you wish.

The bathroom and separate loo are next to the room, and we have our own en-suite in our room, so no sharing unless we have friends/family visiting so you could describe the room as "almost en-suite".

You have your own food cupboard and fridge and some freezer space. Washing machine, washing line, garden, deck etc are all shared. There is space outside for bicycles and no parking worries.

Steyning is a large village/small town surrounded by countryside, and with good access to A24 and A27, and a handy short cut over the Downs (Bostal Road) to the Worthing/Lancing area which avoids the main roads. The bus stop for the Route 2 to Shoreham and Brighton is a few minutes down the road. Many people live here for its lovely setting and commute to work by bus to Shoreham/Brighton or drive to Storrington, Worthing Horsham etc

There are four pubs, plenty of shops, Co-Op supermarket, swimming pool, sports centre (squash, gyms etc), tennis and cricket clubs, Health Centre with Doctors & Dentists etc.

The South Downs Way (National Trail from Winchester to Eastbourne) and the Downs Link (37 mile cycle route from Shoreham to Guildford) run close by.
