Description

Hello,
I'm looking for a short-term housemate for 4-6 months as I will need the room for work in the summer. Available from January 17th - I can be flexible with move in dates. The deposit is £200 and I ask that housemates would be able to sign a contact.

Looing for someone clean and tidy, considerate of others, and currently working. We like to have a few drinks on a weekend but through the week the house is generally quiet- we hope to find someone with a similar lifestyle. I cannot accept pets or couples - sorry.

THE HOUSE
A 3 bed semi-detached, furnished well and very homely, with a large back and front garden to enjoy. There is a large kitchen and utility room with dining table, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, modern washing machine, and all kitchen equipment is free to use for everyone. The new housemate will have an undercounter fridge freezer and large cupboard for themselves.

There is a good-sized living room which is free for everyone to use. Upstairs is a bathroom with a powerful shower. There are 3 double bedrooms (one is mine and the other is rented to my housemate Ossie).

THE ROOM
The room is a large double and comes with bed, mattress, bedside table, draws, desk/dresser, curtains, and a huge build in cupboard / wardrobe. The bed is new and the mattress is comfy. It’s a light room with a big double window, new carpets, and it was newly decorated 12 months ago.

HOUSE SHARE
People who are loud or interested in having frequent parties would not work. If housemates smoke thats ok, but please smoke in the garden. We have a cleaner who cleans the whole house including bedrooms (if you wish), this is included in the rent

ABOUT US
I am a friendly and honest person; I enjoy being sociable and also value time alone. I am just finishing my psychology PHD and work as a therapist. On a weekend I might go out with friends and family, or have a few beers at home. I enjoy live music, reading, films, nature, yoga, board games, cooking, and travelling and culture.

Ossie, from Argentina, is friendly and kind and works as a peer support worker. On a weekend he often stays in with a beer and will enjoy a chat in communal areas. Ossie’s interests are music (he has a great record collection!), art and crafts, upcycling, films, football, culture and travelling.

LOCATION
The house is in a quiet street with on-road parking. Idle, a nice village with shops, cafes, takeaways and pubs, is a 10-minute walk. There is a huge Morrisons 5 minutes’ walk away, and the local shop is just a minute's walk. The bus stop to Bradford centre is close by and the journey takes about 15 minutes. The 60 bus stop to Leeds centre is a 15 minutes’ walk. Apperley Bridge train station is a 5 minute drive, and there are some lovely walks by the canal there too.

On a final note…I have a lovely older cat called Roxie, she is quiet, clean, and friendly.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask 😊
