The room has become available as I'm moving for work, and so need to swap out for another tenant. I’ve been in the property since 2023 and haven’t moved because the location, price, amenities and facilities nearby have been so good. Other housemates have been in the property 1-3 years, and are lovely people (tidy, quiet, friendly). The three other working professionals (males) are continuing their tenancy.
Cockroft Mews is a private estate on Chapel Lane, near the Co-op, Burley Station & bus routes (only a two minute walk away) just outside of Headingley.
Rent without bills is £500 a month, with all bills and council tax coming in around an extra £98 (roughly £598 a month all in). Deposit is £400. Council tax band B.
The estate itself has its own car park and each house has their own rear garden with furniture. The house is large, with two main bathrooms equipped with toilet, shower and bath. Two people typically share a bathroom. The kitchen is large with two ovens, and five hobs, plenty of space for three people to cook if necessary.
Household type: the area is quiet, a very pleasant place to live. The walls of the houses are fairly thick, so there is not much noise that can be heard from neighbours. Letting agency requires references upon successful application.
