Room in beautiful eco-house in Chapel Allerton

Double room available in unusual house on a quiet, green street overlooking Gledhow Valley Wood, five minutes walk from Chapel Allerton and all its facilities.

The room has a mezzanine floor, so is on two levels. It’s furnished with a bed, storage, wardrobe and space for a bit more furniture as you need.. It has a French window opening to a small balcony that catches the sun in the afternoon; and on the upper level overlooks the house’s turf roof.

The house was built by the present owner-occupier and is made of wood with many eco-features, including a turf roof. It's large and spacious, with two living areas, kitchen, wet-room, bathroom. The house has a small back balcony, a lovely large garden with a deck, and an outbuilding where one of us runs meditation classes.

Bills are included in the rent, including wireless broadband, gas, electricity, water and council tax.

We’re a bit older than the average house sharer, so we're looking for a professional person who is mature (in outlook if not in age), responsible, and up for taking their share of keeping the space beautiful. We're into carpentry, cooking, gardening, bee-keeping, meditation, Hindu philosophy, cycling and walking. We enjoy sharing a chat, a glass of wine and occasional house meals.
