I have a single bedroom available in my three-storey cottage in Luddendenfoot, set in a peaceful rural location with beautiful views and the gentle sound of the river nearby.

The room is on the top floor and will be furnished. There is a shared bathroom.

The house itself is light and spacious, with plenty of natural sunlight. There is:

• A cosy shared living room on the second floor with wooden floorboards, a stone wall and log burner

• A small sitting area at the front of the house

• A large kitchen and sitting area on the ground floor with doors opening onto the back garden

• A generous garden that runs down to the river

• Parking available on the lane

The house is approximately:

• 5 miles from Halifax
• 5 miles from Hebden Bridge
• 8 miles from Todmorden
• 8 miles from Haworth

The nearest train station is around 3 miles away and it is easy to commute to a number of cities such as Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.

There are good local amenities, including a large supermarket within 2 miles and nearby villages offering cafés, shops, pubs and takeaways. There is also an abundance of beautiful walks straight from the doorstep.

🐾 About Me

My name is Melissa. I work in a creative and people-focused field and spend a lot of my time at home or nearby. I value a calm, grounded way of living and have had lodgers on and off for around 10 years. I enjoy yoga, gardening, walking, writing & holidays.

I have two rescue animals - a little dog named Brownie and a cat named Evie. They are both happy, laidback animals - so somebody who likes animals is essential.

• This is a meat-free household (apart from the animals), so I’m looking for someone who is veggie/vegan or happy to eat vegetarian while here

• Not suitable for someone working from home

• Ideally suited to someone easygoing, who lives a conscious lifestyle and appreciates a slower, more rural way of living

• £550 per month, including bills

• Deposit: £550 + 1 month’s rent upfront
