I am about to start a 5 year PhD at Leeds Uni and my parents have helped me to buy a flat for the duration of my course.

The flat is a duplex apartment located just off the Otley Road. It is really close to the shops, restaurants and pubs in Headingley but also close to a bus stop to easily get into the city centre. It's close to Leeds University (20 minute walk) and is probably about a half hour walk to the LGI. So it's a great location!

The room has a double bed, en suite bathroom and can have a desk if you need one. Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen/living/dining room and guest bathroom. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a combined washer/dryer. There is one assigned off street parking space for the apartment and I don't have a car so you're welcome to it! There are also 2 extra spaces shared amongst the 4 apartments. The property is surrounded by a big grassy garden which is maintained, there is also a patio so it will be great for summer BBQs.

So more about me... I will be doing a PhD in geology with a teaching role on one of the masters courses. I will be working 9-5 on a regular week but will work longer hours and pop onto campus on weekends when things start to get stressful. I also did my undergrad at Leeds so I know the city well and have lots of friends (already had accommodation sorted) still in the city - a plus if you're new to Leeds! I am very active, I mainly run and I'm a committee member of the university cross country team. I also do triathlons but running is my main thing. I enjoy going on walks out in the Yorkshire Dales and dabble in rock climbing. I also enjoy the pub, nights out and cocktails (especially mojitos) but also like to chill out in the evenings.

Photos on the ad are from the current owner so furniture will be different and she said gas and electric usually came to ~£50 per month.
