Large double room in Huddersfield

I am looking for a lodger to share my 2 bed home in Huddersfield. The room is currently furnished, including a very comfortable new mattress, but I am happy to adapt for a lodger with their own furniture. Rent includes bills but currently not broadband. Happy to negotiate on that if necessary.

The house is council tax band A, has gas central heating, washing machine, huge shared bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. West facing enclosed garden, very sunny in the afternoons!

This is a quiet rear back-to-back terrace, easy walking distance to town, or to Castle Hill and the surrounding countryside. There's unrestricted road parking, and a bus stop just a few doors away.

I am a mainly absent live-in landlord, so you will have all of the shared areas of the house to yourself most of the time. When I visit, I do have my Dalmatian dog with me, so I need a lodger who likes dogs. I'm happy to take somebody with their own dog, but not a cat.

I am a travelling performance poet, female, 55. My whole life is in the creative and dance music scene, so it would be nice to find someone who shares similar interests. I'm very fit and active, walking, cycling, swimming and into healthy vegetarian eating. I'd prefer a lodger with shared values! I am looking for someone responsible and mature who cleans up after themselves and can keep things running smoothly when I'm not around, getting the bins out on time and the like!
