Hi I have a room available in the upper part of a victorian terrace house in Ash Grove, which is one of the most popular rental areas in Hyde park.
The room is a large double with high ceilings, a stripped pine original Victorian floor and a large Victorian sash window which overlooks the back garden The room catches the sun in the morning and early afternoon.
The room is furnished with old fashioned reclaimed wooden furniture, I am into recycling old things.
I can easily provide any items of furniture to suit your requirements as long as they are not from Ikea, Argos etc.
The bathroom is modern, white, with a shower bath type thing and a good quality Miras electric shower. It has underfloor heating aswell as a central heating radiator so is pretty warm.
The kitchen is on the top floor, it has all the usual (good quality)white goods, a breakfast bar, tiled floor with underfloor heating and a large velux window.
There are two small lounges the attic one is small, with stripped pine boards, two seater seater and a coffee table made from reclaimed timber., it has a sloping ceiling going into the underdrawing, and a velux window. The other lounge is on the first floor it seems to be in use as a music room as there are several musicians living in the house at the moment.
The house has a front garden with a lawn and plants shrubs etc, not a concrete paving slab in sight, it catches the sun afternoon and evenings in the summer and has been used by tenants for picnics bbq's etc. There is also a back garden for the use of the tenants of the groundfloor and basement flats The tenants in there are happy to share the back garden and invite the others tenants sit out there for drinks and a BBQ in the summertime..
Facilities in the upper part of the house would be shared by 4 people in total all young professionals.
The house is old and homely rather than pristine, it maintains some of the original features but has been altered to comply with HMO licensing regulations. It has a nice feel to it.
If you are looking for an IKEA show house this is not the place for you..
I am the owner and the landlord I will endeavour to meet all applicants and ensure the successful person is someone who will fit in and hopefully make it home for a while. I am also usually available to come and sort out any repairs and other issues. I am fully licensed by LCC as an HMO landlord and am a member of the National Residential Landlord Association
All bills will be included in the rent ie. Council Tax, Water, Gas, Electric Broadband and Tv licence.
