The smoking policy is to smoke outside.

The house is only 5 min walk from Headingley Train station which is on the Harrogate line and 15 mins walk to Kirkstall Forge station which is on the Wharfedale line. The house is also only 1 min walk from several bus stops for the 50, 50A, 49, 33, 33A and 757.

Close by are various take away food outlets including the fantastic Kirkstall fish & chip shop and the Dinner Box Chinese takeaway. The West End pub and The Old Bridge Inn are only a few mins walk away as are Gallery Forty One (bistro) and Dos Amigos Tapas bar which is by Kirkstall Abbey itself. Morrisons supermarket is about a 7 min walk.
