We are looking for somebody to join our beautiful 4 bed home in the Harehills/Chapeltown area of Leeds! Located down the road from the gorgeous Potternewton Park, a stones throw from Gledhow Valley Woods and not too far from Roundhay Park, our semi-detached house is a peaceful tonic for any young professional seeking an alternative to the hectic student areas of Hyde Park and Headingley.
The vacant bedroom overlooks the garden and probably has the nicest view in the house. The window is South-East facing so it gets loads of light which is great for houseplants. All fully furnished, the room also features a mezzanine above the double bed - great for storage and extra sleeping if it has a mattress up there!
Our back garden is shared with next door and includes space for storing bikes.
All current members of the house are passionate creatives working in music and art, so our new housemate would have to be comfortable with a bit of noise going on around the house. We have an upright piano in our front room which is something to consider, we of course never play music at sleeping hours! We are all professionals working in various flexible roles including hospitality, social work and freelance. We also have a cat, Bruce, who is very much a member of our little family, so it is important to us that you are comfortable living with and enjoying the company of him.
Curating a loving, communal and tidy environment is very important to us, so we have a sensible, weekly cleaning rota, enjoy sharing delicious food and value constructive communication around any potential difficulties when sharing our space. We often socialise together by going on days out swimming around Yorkshire, attending gigs in Leeds and watching TV in the evenings. This is balanced with mutual respect of everyones own personal space as social batteries can naturally run low!
Rent includes council tax, TV license, wifi and water. Extra bills are calculated monthly for electricity and heating.
