Double room available May onward

Hi there,

I am looking for a flatmate to rent a room in a lovely part of Meanwood right next to Meanwood Valley Trail and the Park (and Waitrose & Aldi).

I have furnished the house, but open to someone who has some furniture or not, I am chilled on that front.

There is a shared Kitchen/ diner, I love to cook, and this space is great for cooking. There is also a shared lounge with a large south facing window which provides beautiful light. Upstairs there are two double rooms and a smaller box room that I am currently using as a space to work from. The bathroom is shared, it is nicely fitted with a good shower and bath.

My current house mate works in hospitality and has been on furlough for almost a year, working in the lounge has not been ideal for the situation but if someone were to also be working from home, we could figure something out with a desk in the lounge. Maybe changing places to provide us both with a change of scenery.

The house has oodles of on street parking with a small garden at the front and a terrace at the back which has recently been refitted. There is also space for cycles and a cupboard for storage.

So about me, I love nature and I am passionate about sustainability. I work in project management for the Local Government which keeps me busy during the week. I have travelled and lived aboard in my 20’s working in events and as a ski instructor. I like to keep active, hiking and cycling, and when we can I climb. I try to get out into the mountains regularly.

I am big into music, electronic mostly. Hopefully going to Blue Dot Festival in July. I love cooking and happy to share dinner with a bottle of vino. I like exploring new foods. I also like to read and write.

When we are allowed out again, Alfred’s up the road from the house is a great local and Headingley is not far away. Also, many nice eateries in the area.

I am looking for someone on a similar vibe. I would be open to a Post Grad or a Professional. I would also be open to a Mon-Friday let.

I am looking for someone who can become a friend, cook together on occasion, watch a movie, or binge a Netflix series, but also respects space and belongings, the usual house share etiquette. I’m a tidy as I go person, my current house mate and I take it in turns do a full house sweep once every two weeks, it only takes an hour.

The deposit is £447.50, and the rent is £550 bills all in.
Finding the right housemate is important for me.
