Description
The housemates:
We're a friendly and sociable bunch and as it's a shared home there are many and varied interests going on, whether that's art, cinema, cooking, and spending time with friends - Isaac; or, coffee, live music, sports, running, cycling, and bikepacking - Jack; or, running and walks outdoors, going out for coffee, gigs, and reading - Emily. The house is always clean and tidy and has a peaceful vibe.
You:
The mix of people is really important and a friendly individual would work well. A basic level of self-awareness and consideration for other housemates is essential. Ideally a non-smoker, or if not, someone considerate enough not to smoke in the house. Also, importantly, we're looking for someone that wants a place to call Home, so please only get in touch if you're looking for a longer term commitment, 12 months as a minimum.
House:
One room is available in this lovely 4 bedroom home. It's a large double room located on the first floor, furnished with a double bed, walk in wardrobe, a set of drawers, and a full length mirror. Stained wooden floorboards, bright white walls and lots of light make this room bright and peaceful.
The shared spaces in the house include a large dining kitchen, a separate lounge, a large shower room, and a further bathroom with a shower over the bath. Both bath/shower rooms are on the first floor and each has a sink and toilet. The backyard is a sociable and sunny space with a large beer hall bench seating table and fairy lights.
There is also a small secure outhouse with enough space for storage of 4 bikes.
Location:
Location wise, it doesn't get any better than this! On the border of Meanwood and Headingley, Alfred's is a 2 minute walk down the road, as is Waitrose, or it's a 5 min walk to the bars and restaurants in Headingley, or a short walk or taxi/bus to Chapel Allerton. Meanwood Park and the Valley Trail can be reached from a track at the end of the road, brilliant for walking, running, cycling and BBQ's in the park!
Bills:
Bills are split between 4 and work out at approximately £90 per person per month inc Council tax (Band B). There is also a lovely cleaner that comes every 2 weeks, cleaning the communal areas - payment for this is arranged directly by the housemates.
Thanks for reading. If this all sounds good, please get in touch and a viewing can be arranged. Judi
NB. Photos of the room now added!
Viewings are available on Friday 7th August and Saturday 8th August.
