Rooms available in a shared house in Headingley

Hello, we are the household of the Ridge House. We are in our late 20’s/early 30’s.
We are into dancing, spreadsheets, birds, theatre, making tiramisu, music (making and listening), walking in nature, photography and various other niche interests.
We are working in the arts, teaching and therapy fields. We're a mix of queer/gender queer and neurodivergent folks.

We spend time out and about getting stuck into arts/culture/community things happening in Leeds, and hanging out together at home cooking food, playing games etc.

We are looking for 4 more housemates to join us at The Ridge House
from 1st July 2024 to the 30th June 2025.

We live in a lovely old semi-detached house with big front and back gardens and views out over Woodhouse Ridge. The house is in a quiet area with beautiful green views over Meanwood Valley, and is a short walk from Headingley and Meanwood. The house has 7 bedrooms, 1 large living/dining room, 1 big shared kitchen and 3 bathrooms. There’s some nifty bike storage solutions, and large, currently very chaotic, basement storage.

The rent is £398.66 pppm and bills come to £170 pppm, and include council tax, internet, and food - we get a weekly veg box, and monthly order of bulk dried goods.

The house has been lived in communally for over a decade. It’s well-loved and well-lived-in.
For us, living communally means:
- Co-creating the house and how we live together - a family home feeling

We are looking for people who can commit to the year’s contract, but might also be interested in plotting further community living beyond the year as we’re looking to set up a housing Co-op.
