Meanwood: lovely home; your own bedroom + office

1 housemate. Bedroom and separate office room for you. (I also have a bedroom and office room.)

Move-in date 8th July 2026.

A large, bright double bedroom in a spacious house on the Bentleys in central Meanwood. You also have a separate room (perhaps your office or craft room), equally-sized and bright, just for you. Communal sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. Sharing with one other professional female (Me!).

My ideal flatmate will also enjoy keeping our home clean, calm and a pleasant place to enjoy living. Four phrases to describe it here are:
1) home and sanctuary
2) exceptionally clean and tidy
3) friendly, trustworthy, considerate and honourable
4) calm

The house faces east-to-west so every room gets sunshine. Your bedroom gets the sunrise and morning sun; your office/second room gets the afternoon sun and sunset. They have recently been redecorated. There is a sitting room, large kitchen (with your own 'half'), bathroom with shower, two bedrooms and two office spaces (one for each of us) and a basement for the washing machine and storage.

There is a front and back garden, both which get sun and shade.

The house is furnished. Your two rooms were chosen by the original lead-tenant as being the best rooms, which were hers (soon to be yours).

In your bedroom are the usual bed, wardrobe, a shelving unit of squares and 2 bedside tables.

In your office there is a large corner desk & office drawers, a double futon/sofa bed and another wardrobe (hidden behind a corner, out of view in the photo).

The house is on a quiet street with friendly neighbours. We're just around the corner from nice cafes, restaurants and bars, Waitrose and Aldi.

This is a private letting so no agency or agency fees. The rent is £550. Bills come to about £170 (each) per month on average over the year, with conservative use. Chores, cleaning and necessary costs get shared equally.

As for me: having been in the corporate world for most of my career and then in Superyachting for a few years, I’m now fully back on land. I’m working towards a diploma in massage.

I enjoy living in a homely, calm space and have made this house a home. The house is kept very clean at all times and we have a weekly cleaning rota in place, so please only reply if you are likeminded.

I’ve been enjoying discovering Leeds this past year: mostly its forests and countryside, often with dogs I borrow. Any opportunity to be outside! I look forward to getting to know Leeds (and surrounds) as a city now, too. During long winter evenings I usually end up making stuff or painting and watching something with a glass of wine.
As a flatmate: cleanliness, respect, teamwork, good communication, kindness, consideration, trustworthiness and dependability are really important to me.
