Sunny Houseshare in Central Meanwood

Double bedroom available in a friendly house share in the heart of Meanwood.

My housemate is moving on, and so I’m looking for a new (cat-friendly) housemate to join the house and keep the positive energy flowing.
A little about me: I currently work in family law and often work from home so that I can keep my kitten Percy company. I’m keen to maintain a friendly and social house where people feel able to relax and be themselves. I love getting outdoors in my spare time and enjoy fitting in a surf on the Yorkshire coast when I can. My ideal housemate would be someone who is easy-going, up for a laugh and socially conscious. Someone who loves cats is also essential, as I currently have a kitten called Percy. He is a friendly and cheeky soul who adores his Meanwood home, and looks forward to meeting his new housemate.

About the room available: The room has a double bed and space for a small desk. It is a large room with plenty of potential and the landlord is quite easygoing if you prefer to decorate it in a different way. It also gets the sun in the afternoon/evenings, (so you get that golden hour glow), and has a beautiful view up the valley!

The house is spread over two floors and has a small patio to the back with a raised bed, and a small lawn to the front. There's a communal lounge, kitchen and one bathroom. The facilities are pretty basic, but with some TLC the house can look cute. There is a large dining room, where I currently store my bike, and a small spare bedroom upstairs, which is currently set up as a workspace/creative space, but obviously we can move things around if needed.

The property is located within walking distance from the centre of Meanwood, including local supermarkets (Waitrose and Aldi), shops, cafes and bars. You also have easy walking access to Headingley and Chapel Allerton isn’t far. The house is super close to both Meanwood Park and the Ridge, so ample opportunities to soak up some nature when needed.

The neighbours are really friendly, and the house is in a safe neighbourhood. There's free on-street parking and excellent transport links to the city centre.
